The submission deadline for Iranian movies willing to participate in the 35th Fajr International Film Festival has been pushed back for five days.
According to the festival’s official website Iranian films willing to participate in the 2017 edition can submit their applications up to March 10th, 2016.
Iran’s most important film presentation and competition festival - the International Fajr Film Festival - is scheduled to take place in the country’s capital of Tehran from April 21 through 28, 2017.
The festival will appoint at least three jury members for the Best Feature Film from Asian and Islamic Countries, included in the Competition and Panorama sections, according to the festival’s website.
“The festival will also designate at least five jury members for the International Competition – Cinema Salvation section.”
Established in 1982, Fajr International Film Festival is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.
Since its establishment, Fajr International Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of the Iranian Cinema.
Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.
